What I Wear to Fly

I like to look as put together as possible when I am at the airport and flying. However, I also like to be comfortable so I have tried to figure out the best way to blend the two together as possible.
Recommendation #1
Layers. Always dress in layers. I like wearing either loose jeans, a casual t-shirt, a light sweater, and a jacket or a coat. That way if it gets hot, I can tak eoff layers as I go, and if I get cold, I can add layers. I like to wear loose dark wash Hollister skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, and a colored JCrew cardigan. I will also carry a jacket like a tan trench coat or a black pea coat with me for when I get cold.
Recommendation #2
Limit the accessories. I have definitely been THAT person at the airport who has on way to much jewellery and takes an hour to get through the metal detector. I have also been that person standing behind the accessories freak who is taking way too long and I worry I might miss my flight. Now, I just wear earrings, my Michael Kors watch, and a rose gold Cartier love bracelet. Necklaces take too long, and can be difficult to get off so I just skip them entirely.
Recommendation #3
When in doubt, go for flats. Or tennis shoes. Just don't go for the sky high wedges, the strappy heels, or the lace up shoes that take an hour to do right. Going to the airport means standing in lines for a long time, and nothing hurts more than 2+ hours in four inch heels. Just go for cute and comfy. I like Forever 21 ballet flats or just simple tennis shoes. Cute, simple, and comfortable. Plus if you have to run to catch a flight, you aren't hindered by difficult shoes.
And finally...
Recommendation #4
Skip the sweat pants. If you are going for comfy, just wear simple black leggings. they go with everything, won't get way too hot, are super comfy, and can be super cute. My go to travel outfit including leggings is a colored shirt, a sleeves rolled up denim jacket, and tennis shoes. Super simple, put together, and cute with absolutely no struggle.
