Yardley Hendry...an interesting name for an interesting girl. With my new found love for portrait photography, my best friends were dragged into my photo shoot experiments. Yardley was the first "willing" participant. Now, I have done many photoshoots with her, and she has grown more willing with each. Thankfully, she is a wonderful friend with an endless stream of patience, even when my ideas completely flop, and I am able to call on her whenever I need new images for my website. Photo Shoot #1: The first photo shoot I did with Yardley, we went down to the bay near our homes to take pictures. I wanted Yardley to bring a piece of herself into the photos (aside from her lovely face), so she brought in a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, and Disney Minnie Mouse ears.

Leave it to this girl to take a more serious, neutral backdrop, and add a twist of fun to it.

Photo Shoot #2: This time, I was called on by Yardley's parents to come take their Holiday card pictures. After quite a bit of argument over what colors, poses, and locations we would take the pictures at, they decided that navy tops, dark jeans, and boots would be the outfits of choice. We took the pictures at sunset in order to get a soft golden glow, and ended up with a very mature and lovely selection of images from both Yardley, her two sister, and her brother.

Photo Shoot #3: This photo shoot was a little more whimsical. Yardley fell in love with a pink tulle maxi skirt from Lauren Conrad's Runway Line, and a black sweater. With natural makeup, and perfectly curled blonde hair, she looked right out of a Disney fairy tale. We took the pictures at my home, and the camera and Yardley were strategically placed to avoid getting cars, houses, animals, or pedestrians in the pictures. We took them around noon so that the morning fog had left a bit, and the sun was shining through (not so brightly they had to squint though).

Thankfully I have a wonderful friend who is such a willing (and obviously stunning) friend to take pictures of. I feature her more heavily than any of my other models due to the fact that I take the most practice and actual photo shoot pictures of her. Thanks Yardstick!
